How much does a week of camp cost?
Big Sky's traditional camps cost $170 if you register before May 15 and $185 if you register after May 15th. Big Sky also offers family discounts of $10 for a second camper and $15 for a third camper. $50 of the camp fee is due at the time of registration with the balance due opening day of camp. $15-30 is also recommended for spending money in the camp snack shop (gifts and t-shirts also available). Big Sky also offers a backpacking program for various ages and the cost of most trips is $200. Campers also have the opportunity (but are not required) to give some of their spending money to a mission offering which is taken each week for the missionary of the week.

What is the Picture DVD and Camp Photo and how do I purchase one?
The Picture DVD is a DVD with hundreds of pictures of everything that goes on at camp. They are available for $7 and can be purchased in advance or when you drop your child off. The Camp Photo is a full page, laminted photo of all the camper's from your week of camp. The Camp Photo is available for $5 and can be purchased in advance or when you drop your child off.

How long is camp and when should I arrive?
Most camps run from Monday-Saturday and check in is at 11 am on Monday morning. At this time, you can pay the balance of your camp fee, add money to the snack shop and purchase a picture cd or Camp Photo. You will also check in with the nurse and any necessary medications will be collected.

How do I register for camp?
You can register online and pay with paypal or by sending/faxing in a registration form. You can also come and visit us here at Big Sky and register in person (credit card payment is only available online, not at camp)!

Can I select a friend to be with me?
You can select one friend to be put in a cabin with. There is a spot both on the registration form and on the online form to mark the friend you would like to be put in with.

What should I bring to camp?
Some items that should be brought to camp are:
Bible (if you have one, if not, we will provide one), soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, towel, swimsuit (one piece swimsuit is required for girls), shorts, long pants, warm jacket, rain gear, extra pair of shoes, sweatshirt, warm sleeping bag and pillow.

What shouldn't I bring to camp?
Items that shouldn't be brought to camp include: Firearms, alchohol, drugs, fireworks, knives, tobacco items, pets, personal stereo's, walkman, i-pod, computers, cell phones, or any other tech toys.

What should I do with medications?
Medication is to be turned in on Monday morning during the registration process. Big Sky has a nurse who will assist in processing medications.

How much spending money should I send and how should I send it?
Approximately $15-30 is a good amount to send for spending money. The easiest way to send spending money is to include it with registration. There is a spot on the registration form and the online registration form to mark down spending money. Otherwise, the spending money will be collected during the registration process on Monday morning.

Where do I check in at camp?
You can check into camp at the main office. The driveway leading into Big Sky runs straight into the office.

How can I contact my child while he/she is at camp?
We ask that you only contact your child at camp if it is an emergency, but you may do so by calling 406.837.4864. Due to the many activities occurring at camp, it may take several minutes to locate your child. You may also send letters to the address at bottom or e-mails to camp address.

May I come and visit my child at camp?
You may come and visit your child at camp at anytime (preferably during daytime hours unless it is an emergency). We ask that you first check in at the office and you will be given a visitor's pass. It may take a moment to locate your child as many activites are occurring at camp.

When should I pick up my child at camp?
You may pick up your child at 11:15 A.M. on the Saturday of camp. You will be given a coupon during registration which is to brought with and presented at the time of pickup on Saturday. Parent's who have this coupon may go straight to the camper's cabin for pickup. The snack shop will be open at this time and you are welcome to look around camp with your child.

How do I find something I lost at camp?
You can first try and call and see if your item is in Big Sky's lost and found. Otherwise, you may come and we can help you look for the item where it was last seen. It is a good idea to label as many of your camper's items as possible to prevent losing items at camp.
